Spacial design for the Prototyping and Design Laboratory led by Professor Shunji Yamanaka’s exhibition “Drawing of the Future” at University of Tokyo. The venue is a renovated building that was formerly used as an aerospace research institute and features a supersonic wind tunnel. It is composed of various spaces, and we arranged the existing display fixtures and various exhibition pieces in a puzzle-like manner to create the exhibition layout.

In this exhibition, Professor Shunji Yamanaka's beautiful sketches, prototypes created based on these sketches, and the activities of graduates are displayed as “original drawings.” To complement these “original drawings,” wooden panels were added to each display fixture, and the spatial partitions were also constructed using L-shaped wooden panels, employing primitive techniques to introduce new appearance and a sense of unity to the existing space and fixtures.
