For my family, the act of moving—transporting our lives—has always been something familiar. We pack the foundations of our everyday life into brown boxes. In the quiet, pristine white space of a newly entered home, only those cardboard boxes exist. We eat on top of them. We stack them to create our own territories. It is a primordial scene in which a new life begins to take shape—the most innocent and creative moment of living.
This object returns us to that pure, blank moment before the various rules and conventions embedded within domestic space come into being, while also allowing us to rediscover the joy of freely shaping our own way of living.
